....Has been given a new lease of life!
Since buying The Spotted Cow last year we have totally refurbished it...
The Village Bar has been turned back into a proper pub bar with cream coloured walls showing off the array of beautiful old beams & ancient flagstone floor, new cushions on the old church pews & dark wood tables to sit at, with an old fashioned wood burning stove....
The cream walls, beams & the flagstone floor carry on through to the Lounge Bar which now has comfortable captain’s chairs & lovely dark wood old tables. Both areas are now great places to enjoy food from the new Menus, a glass of wine (from an extensive list) or a well looked after pint of Real Ale, whilst reading the paper or the famous sayings sign written on the walls.
...on through the pub to a cosy sofa area with rich dark red walls, subdued lighting & comfy cushions, a relaxing area for morning coffee, meeting others or pre dinner drinks before moving on to the ….
beautifully redecorated Restaurant, which has been sectioned off for more intimate dining. White linen napkins, elegant wine glasses and wee-willy-winky candlesticks (made especially for the pub by Amberly Pottery) adorn the dark wood tables in the evening, lunchtime is a little less formal. You even have a mixture of dining rooms chairs to choose from. Large pillar candles & opulent rugs all make for an inviting and relaxed atmosphere.
